Design and reconstruction of the interior of a cafe in Slaný near Prague
The design of the café after the reconstruction, which is situated in the area of the historic Renaissance building, refers to the rectory and the church in the immediate vicinity, mainly by the symbolism that appears in it.
The design of the café after the reconstruction, which is situated in the area of the historic Renaissance building, refers to the rectory and the church in the immediate vicinity, mainly by the symbolism that appears in it.
The spaces are tuned to earthy tones, which are mainly represented by a beige concrete trowel on the walls and a light oak wood decor. The color that adds to the earthy tones is dark green, which is used both on the furniture elements and on the door frames and doors themselves.
The symbolism of the cross appears in the café in the form of perforations of the surface panels, but it can also be found in small items, such as wall hangers, handles or table bases. The café is equipped with large circular lights on the ceiling, which dominate the space, but there are also photo wallpapers with a wine theme.
The seating is solved by a combination of upholstered benches in alcoves and Ton brand chairs, which can be moved as needed. During the day, the premises serve as a café, which turns into a bar at night.
